Who we are

Hinshaw Church is a United Methodist Church in Greensboro, N.C.  As a church we claim hospitality, holiness, and the ministry of reconciliation as the Christian way of life. On the surface, you might think that we are not that much alike. We come from various cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. We all share a faith in Jesus Christ, yet we do not always share the same opinions about every faith issue or social concern. We aren’t striving to be all the same, but we are striving to work together to make a significant difference in the world.

Because God has made us different, He has given us all various gifts and talents. Each of us strive to discover our gifts and then use our gifts the best we can in ministry. We have many gifts, yet one Spirit of love.

We are dedicated to discovering what it means to be authentic followers of Jesus Christ. We learn from one another, we lean on one another, and we support one another in our journey of life. With this, we accept each other as we are and support each other on this journey of becoming all God wants us to be.

We believe that we are a very hospitable group of people. We are always anxious to make new friends and spread the love that others have shown us.
