Children and Youth

Children:
"Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”"

At Hinshaw we value children as an integral part of our family. We feel that is our responsibility to do our best to nurture and grow the children up in the Christian faith.  Opportunities are available throughout the year for children not old enough for MYF. These include occasional trips, Sunday School, Children's church during 11:00 a.m. Sunday service and an annual Vacation Bible School.

Youth:
Hinshaw Church's Youth Fellowship group has a long history of mentoring youth in Greensboro for many years.  The youth enjoy many great service and mission related projects: the Mountain Spiritual Life retreat, beach retreat for recreation, rafting in West Virginia, going to Camp Guilrock and many other trips and outings are held annually. Service projects of many types and descriptions are performed by the group ranging from visiting Kindred Hospital to helping with work around the church. Many opportunities occur for Christian education and retreats. The youth group enjoys meeting together on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m.
