The opening meeting for ASP 2012 will be on Tuesday night, February 7th at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at Guilford College United Methodist Church. This year Hinshaw will host a group of ninety volunteers that represent five churches. Hinshaw has registered 40 volunteers.
Valentine Breakfast: Open to Everyone! February 11th, Carter Brothers, Samet Drive, High Point, 9:00 am; $10.00 per person (except widows eat free). Make reservations by calling the church office 299-6330, by Thursday, February 9th. If needed, transportation will be provided for widows. Please let us know if you need a ride.

On Tuesday, February 21st at 8:30 a.m. all adults are invited to bring friends and family to come along and enjoy a trip to Seagrove, North Carolina. We'll visit the Museum of North Carolina Traditional Pottery in Seagrove and several pottery shops. We'll eat lunch together and return to the church in early to mid-afternoon. Bus fuel cost will be shared by the group. Please call the church 299-6330 by noon on Monday the 20th to sign up for this trip.
Come out and enjoy a good meal and even better fellowship on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00 p.m. Price of the meal is $5.00. Please call the church office at 299-6330 to reserve your place by noon on Monday, February 20th. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Every year during Lenten Season churches in the "Lee-Hi UMC Cluster" have hosted Lenten Lunches on Wednesdays. The tradition has been to have a 1/2 hour service followed by a 1/2 hour (or more) luncheon. We alternate pastors and churches. Lent begins on February 22nd with Ash Wednesday services at individual churches. Saint John's UMC on Merritt Drive will host the first service/lunch on February 29th at 12:00 p.m. Rev. John Jolly will be the speaker.
